Franz Schubert was one of the composers who played a major role in establishing this genre, creating works that remain central to its repertoire. By the end of the 19th century, Paris had become an important centre of musical exchange. Composers such as Maurice Ravel drew inspiration from Spanish music and other cultures, while Spanish musicians including Albéniz, Granados, Turina and Falla came into contact with new European musical trends. This exchange gave rise to a rich and colourful repertoire, bringing together tradition, folk influences and Impressionism. P R O G R A M F. Schubert Fantasy in F minor D. 940 Lebensstürme D. 947 N.
