Born in 1996, Germán García Pérez began his musical studies in Granada under the tutelage of Andrei Reznik and Javier Herreros. He continued his studies with maestro Alexander Kandelaki at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Badajoz, where he obtained an Honorary Degree with the unanimous decision of the jury to confer on him the “Extraordinary Prize of Degree”. After that he completed his Master of Interpretation under the tutelage of Naum Grubert at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. While there he also received chamber music lessons from Frank van de Laar, Clive Brown and Paul Scheepers.
In August 2013 he took part in the We Gather Friends International Festival held at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. His first performance as a soloist took place in March 2015 at the Palacio de Congresos de Badajoz, where he played the Piano Concerto No. 1 by Tchaikovsky, conducted by César Álvarez. In December 2017 he gave a solo recital at the Manuel de Falla Auditorium in Granada, in which he performed, among other pieces, Kreisleriana, op. 16 by Robert Schumann and Trois mouvements de Petrushka by Igor Stravinski. In the words critic José Antonio Lacárcel (Ideal): “Virtuosity became a reality thanks to his great technique, with the emotion and passion ever present in his magnificent interpretation".
Germán has been awarded various prizes including First Prizes at the XXIX Marisa Montiel City of Linares National Piano Competition, the XXII Ciutat de Carlet Piano Competition, and the XXXVIII Albacete City Piano Competition. He has received guidance and masterclasses from pianists such as Ángel Sanzo, Luis Fernando Pérez, Albert Attenelle, Guillermo González, Eldar Nebolsin, Rosa Torres-Pardo, Irina Plotnikova, Marta Gulyas, David Kuyken, Frank van de Laar and Claudio Martínez Mehner.
Currently he combines his teaching activity at the CSM "Manuel Castillo" in Seville with his own recitals, and others in various chamber ensembles.
